Gas Engineer – Coalville



Location: Coalville

The role:

We are looking for a Gas Engineer to join us. LPG/OIL qualifications will be advantageous, as will electrical qualifications.

Working 4 days on, 4 days off, duties will include, but not be limited to:

To provide an effective and efficient Heating / Plumbing / Boiler Repair/ maintenance and installation service to Clients. This service is carried out in support of electrical distribution companies and private clients.

Good customer facing and communication skills.

Competent in Repairing Boilers, sourcing parts, fault finding on heating systems and carrying out repairs as required.

Repairing down to component level.

Familiar with Gas Check Paper work and able to complete Haste paper work as required.

Able to carry out Haste Field Agent/Electrician (where qualified) as required, such as appliance functional testing and learn new skills

Good team worker liaising closely with works supervisors and managers

Able to work alone meeting appointments communicating with customers and the Customer Care staff.

Able to respond to emergencies.

Able to learn new skills or with some electrical qualification an advantage.

Advise Line Manager/Supervisor of any plant or system deficiency or defect.

To make use of the business systems for the recording and maintenance of tools & equipment.

Liaise and work with the Head of Operations or to undertake duties, causing minimum disruption to Clients and others.

Make all reasonable effort to ensure response times to jobs are achieved.

The position holder will be expected to comply with any reasonable operational instruction or procedure as well as operating within any policies and procedures relating to quality, safety, the environment, staff grievance and discipline, financial reporting and controls.

To use or request for use, any PPE and/or equipment as may be required to perform the role in a safe manner.

Like for like electrical installation replacements

Any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.

The candidate:

C&G/NVQ CCN1, Gas Boiler and others an advantage.

A full UK driving licence (minimal points preferable)

We pay £1000 joining bonus to all employee who join us directly, payable in 4 x quarterly instalments of £250, plus give you your birthday off. Annual leave increases each year by 1 day for your first 5 years of completed service
